Few nurses are provided with communication training as part of their medical education. Nurses who deal with cancer patients on a daily basis would benefit in particular from extra assistance. That is the view of many academic experts, who are working together with PACE, a Lilly Oncology Initiative, and Media Wise to design a three-day, accredited training programme to fill that gap. PACE, or patient access to cancer care excellence, is a global network to help improve the way in which decisions are made on cancer-related policy, the development of new treatments and patient access to care.patient_nurse
